Sharing and Collaboration
CartoGraph functions like a social-network, enabling users within and across organizations to interact. Individual data layers as well as completed maps may be shared, either directly between users or amongst work groups. A detailed permissions interface allows precise control over the level of access, according to individual identity, affiliation, or other traits.
Data Management
CartoGraph data is stored online and managed by the software. File paths cannot become accidentally broken. Data layers cannot be misplaced, as they appear on browsable lists and can be found via searches against name/description/keywords. All data is ensured to be compatible with all other data because the software enforces validity at point of import, and handles all reprojection tasks internally.
Mapping
CartoGraph offers a complete toolset for building customized interactive maps entirely online, with no desktop software required. As web native items, these maps are easily re-edited or published via simple permissions settings. Map-building abilities include: adding layers to a map, specifying map projection, layer-order, individual classification schemes for each layer, and access-permissions for that map.
Custom Interfaces
The end-users of map interfaces have different needs than the technicians who build the maps. CartoGraph offers a wizard interface for quickly generating several types of streamlined map interfaces with no coding required. These interfaces may either stand alone or be embedded into web pages.
